Program

The opening is on Thursday evening with a Capoeira ritual in the Garden of the two Banks on both sides of the passerelle.

This will be followed by a three-day workshop programme from Friday to Sunday. Up to 200 participants will have the opportunity to participate in Capoeira trainings, percussion classes and dance courses.

During and between the sessions there will be plenty of time for exchanges with other participants and the 30 workshop leaders. Volunteer interpreters will be present in large numbers to support international communication. Sleeping places and communal meals will be provided to allow participants to immerse themselves in the Brazilian atmosphere for a weekend.

On Saturday evening a big party with live music, stage show and Brazilian specialities is planned. A parade with Maracatu (rhythm from northeast Brazil) and Capoeira in the Garden of the two Banks marks the grand finale on Sunday afternoon.
